Announcement: Bread Baking, Broth, and Stew Classes available for October!

Background:
I have for over 30 years tested, tried, and implemented  frugal, nourishing as well as tasty ways to feed my family. From the garden to the kitchen, I've preserved my own food, baked my own bread and made meals from organic foods. With a degree from Oregon State University in Home Economics (with a focus on food and nutrition), I've utilized the knowledge gained with years of hands on experience.

Bread Baking:

The ABC's of Baking your own Bread: Part 1

Fill your home with the sweet aroma of fresh baked bread. Not only is breadmaking a frugal way to stretch the food budget, but it is a nourishing way to feed your family. In this hands-on class , you will take with you a knowledge and confidence to bake your own bread. Included are some of my favorite recipes.
Thursday , October 15th, 7pm-9pm. Cost: $25

The ABC's of Baking your own Bread: Part 2
Soaked Grains and Sourdough Breads
In part two of this breadbaking series, we will explore the use of soaked grains in not only breads but muffins, pancakes and waffles. Soaking grains helps reduce allergic reactions (to gluten) while increasing the absorption of nutrients. In this step by step process, I've included my favorite recipes and how to convert your favorite recipes as well. An introduction in the use of sourdough breads will also be covered

Thursday, October 22nd, 7pm-9pm. Cost: $25

Broths, Soups and Stews
Ahhh ... the weather outside maybe frightful (or will be) but there's a pot of yummy stew simmering on the stove..
Making your own chicken and beef broth can be fun and easy. Use this base to make frugal, nourishing , satisfying soup and stews. A complete meal - just add homemade bread!!

Thursday, October 29th, 7pm-9pm. Cost:$25
